  • TABLE MOUNTAIN AERIAL CABLEWAY

    The best way to make the most of the mountain. The revolving cable car means you get a 360 degree view. Once on top, revel in the sights of the peninsula below.

    View the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway website for the first car up and last car down times. A car departs every 15 minutes.

  • LION’S HEAD

    Known for having breathtaking views of Cape Town, and visitors claim that the hour-long walk to the summit is spectacular. It is a relatively easy walk for beginners, offering a view of sights such as Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles and Sea Point and the Waterfront. Lion’s Head is also a popular place for paragliders to launch into the air.

  • BOULDERS AFRICAN PENGUIN COLONY

    A meander along the winding boardwalk running through the African penguin colony’s breeding ground is a real delight. Watch as they waddle about, wade in the choppy water and play peekaboo from their twiggy burrows. Open Oct & Nov 8am – 6.30pm daily. Dec & Jan 7am – 7.30pm daily. Feb & Mar 8am – 5.30pm daily.   • CAPE OF GOOD HOPE NATURE RESERVE

    At the tip of the Southern Peninsula you will find Cape Point. The vast Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve was declared part of the Cape World Heritage Site in 2004. Trails within the park lead to shipwrecks, tidal pools and lighthouses. If you don’t feel like walking, climb aboard the Flying Dutchman funicular that will take you all the way from Cape Point to the upper lighthouse.

  • KIRSTENBOSCH NATIONAL BOTANICAL GARDENS

    This is one of the country’s most popular visitor attractions. Neatly tended lawns tumble down the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, punctuated by flowering gardens, ponds and indigenous trees all knitted together by paved pathways. There are many walking trails leading visitors and a lane of gigantic yellowwoods housing a few shy owls.

  • CHAPMAN’S PEAK & NOORDHOEK

    Chapman’s Peak Drive is 9km long, and winds its way between Noordhoek and Hout Bay and is touted as one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world. There are viewpoints en route which are ideal for picnics and sundowners. Keen walkers will enjoy hiking up Chapman’s Peak and through Silvermine Nature Reserve and the Table Mountain National Park. The plant life is spectacular and includes Cape fynbos, including wild proteas, and indigenous trees.

    The elegant suburb of Constantia is situated in the Cape’s oldest winelands and is home to renowned wine estates and numerous award-winning restaurants.

    Lined with oak trees and gabled Cape Dutch homesteads, Constantia is a pretty suburb situated on the lower slopes of Table Mountain.

  • CAPE GARDEN CENTRE
